Life shouldn't be about a paper chase. Because at the end of the day, it's really what's in your heart that matters. There isn't anything wrong with striving for achievements. In fact, I do believe in aiming high in a spirit of excellence. But if you do something without love, while you may pick up some earthly rewards, in eternity, it amounts to nothing.
"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." -Matthew 6:19-21
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; the courage to change the things I can; and the wisdom to know the difference.
